You don't need your CD's to Install Guild Wars. You can do it using the Guild Wars Client, however, you will still need your login information to access the account you already had (The one you've put CD keys on).

Here's the client, and be warned, it's a huge download once you get this thing running. An All-Nighter to be honest, even on Broadband.

Click On "Play The Game" to Download The Client - Guildwars.com Support

Good luck!

yeper you are still good to go. As posted above just go to the site and get the client. If you added the keys to your account as you got them then ANet has you covered. WOOT ANET!!!

This also means that you can go anywhere in the world if you have access to the internet and play your guild wars account. I sometimes do it from the in-laws place. just put in your pass word and user name and you are good to go.

Copy your Gw.dat from your machine and paste it to hers - saves hours of downloads.

Copying gw.dat is a BAD idea. That file contains configuration information as well, and will be configured for the other machine. If the machines are identical in terms of hardware, fine. I did this from this desktop gaming rig I built to my Acer laptop. BAD idea. I couldn't see the menus or anything. If I hadn't known the shortcut keys I'd have been sunk.

How strange
I took my entire setup dat file exe etc and copied them from my aged amd 1800 running Xp to a brand new quad core using vista.

It looks exactly the same as before and runs great.
Only anomaly is there are 2 gw games in the add remove programs list although there is only one set of files on the hard disk.

Well it works so I guess I will leave it all alone.
